About the role:
As a Solutions Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and delivering high-quality solutions. You’ll be responsible for managing pre-sales and post-sales technical support activities, assessing customer needs, and providing expertise in terms of Red Hat applications and solutions.
You’ll be a great listener, be able to move swiftly into the trusted advisor role and be a logical extension to Red Hat’s technology team. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with various teams, including Red Hat and business partner sales and solutioning teams, to drive product adoption, enhancements, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pre-sale and post-sale technical support activities
- Build and maintain nationwide sales and technical relationships with Red Hat and Partner teams
- Provide enablement support to the Red Hat partner community
- Provide advice to business partner teams in terms of solution design and configuration
- Assist partners with tender responses for Red Hat-related technologies
- Assess how Red Hat products can meet customer needs and provide considered recommendations
- Design, size and quote Red Hat solutions to our partner ecosystem
- Maintain required Red Hat technical certifications
- Work with the wider Ingram Micro team to maximize Red Hat revenue opportunities
What You’ll Bring
You’ll either be a seasoned professional with ability to work independently with limited supervision, or an up-and-coming technology superstar. We need you to be confident with the architect community, whiteboard marker in hand, with the ability to listen, comprehend business requirements and design relevant Red Hat solutions.
Confidence in delivering technical training and enablement to partners, coaching them in all things Red Hat, and offering pragmatic solutions will be commonplace.
You’ll have the inter-personal skills to be a strong coach, and the patience to guide new Partners in terms of Red Hat technology, best practises, and processes.
You’ll have:
- A proven track record of providing solutions to complex technical and business challenges
- Experience in the following would be advantageous:
- Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
- Foundational knowledge of Red Hat-related solutions
- Knowledge of DevOps and Application Development concepts, tools, and best practices
- Kubernetes ecosystem
- Ansible and/or enterprise automation technologies
- RHEL and competing operating systems
- Cloud Service Providers
- DevOps and Application Development concepts, tools, and best practices
- Relevant industry certifications
- Knowledge of the New Zealand IT industry and its routes to market (channels) in terms of software products would be useful
