A year of transformation at Ingram Micro

A year ago, Edwar Conde, Professional Pre-Sales, based in Colombia embarked on a journey with Ingram Micro. Despite being in the company for less than a year, he faced challenges unlike he’d met before. “Little did I know that this journey would lead me to face challenges unlike any I’d met before. Despite having the same role title, the landscape was different” he shared. 

Edwar emphasized his identity beyond his professional role, saying, “Before being a salesperson or a pre-sales expert, I am a person. Those words echo in my mind daily”. Edwar’s commitment to excellence is clear in his mantra, “If you’re going to be a pre-sales engineer, be the best in the world. That mantra drives me. It’s not arrogance, it’s commitment. We’re not just solving technical puzzles, we’re shaping outcomes. And in this pursuit, personal growth takes center stage”. 

Speaking about culture at Ingram Micro, Edwar shared “I believe we have a healthy culture here at Ingram Micro. Leadership isn’t about hovering; it’s about being an umbrella. Our leaders shield us, allowing us to thrive. They don’t demand presence; they inspire it. And that’s what I aspire to replicate –to be an umbrella for my team, guiding without imposing”. 

The associate further elaborated on the interconnectedness of the teams, “If I’m a bulb, I won’t just illuminate my corner. Teams aren’t isolated; they’re interconnected. Our collective energy fuels success. Like sunlight on a table, we can achieve more together. It’s not about burning; it’s about brilliance”.
