Your role:


Grow the Ingram Micro Technology Solutions Marketing business by developing new marketing strategies and developing and leading a team to transform our marketing programs to drive financial profitability and sales, and ultimately win net new vendor MDF business for Ingram Micro.


The Director, Brand Marketing and Programs will also help grow our USTS brand profile by leading the development of strategic marketing plans for our USTS business units. To accomplish this, the director will work closely with our executive leadership team, and key business unit stakeholders, to understand their business objectives and GTM strategies; and align and coach the Brand Marketing and Programs teams to develop marketing strategies that allow Ingram Micro to lead with BU strategies, vs. only being led our vendors' strategies.


This director will work closely with the function leads in Marketing, including Events, Communities, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, and Operations, and analyze market and business intelligence to set overall US marketing strategy; plan and execute quarterly campaigns and events; develop incremental plans for single- and multi-vendor market opportunities; and create innovative program opportunities that align with our USTS business unit GTM plans.


This director will lead, manage and grow a diverse cross section of marketing teams, including Brand Management, Multi-Vendor Marketing Programs, and Sales Enablement Programs (30-35 associates total), and report directly to the Vice President, Marketing. 


What you bring to the role:


  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or in progress.  MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of industry experience in strategic communications, marketing, product marketing or public relations position in like and/or complimentary roles is required; agency experience is desired, as is 7 + years of leadership experience, including people leaders.
  • Strong background indirectly leading or working directly with Public Relations.
  • Demonstrated success in building and elevating a brand – particularly with Creative Communications or Marketing
  • Strong interest in working in a large and fast-paced international organization, working with various people across the globe.
  • Great understanding about delivering results with marketing that benefit the business and can expertly communicate those results.
  • Highly organized, with project management skills and results orientation.
  • Experience in the technology industry; SMBs, Cloud and channel experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with organizations, responsibility outside of North America is a plus.
  • Passionate about driving progress; willing to roll up sleeves and personally take on challenges headfirst to get work done.
  • Strong analytical and P&L management experience, with the ability to understand and communicate financial data.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, with ability to communicate comfortably and confidently to engage and influence the senior executive team.
  • Professional work-ethic and possess the capacity to work autonomously in both a team environment.
  • Consistently exceed key performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to foster relationships with industry analysts, drive favorable research coverage and be in touch with current marketing trends.
