DevSecOps Engineer

Qualifications

•7 years min in devops with 3 years min experience in a cloud or automated datacenter security administration role

•Demonstrable familiarity with security features and capabilities in both Windows and Linux platforms

•Extensive knowledge of practical threat vectors in public cloud environments

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to communicate the technical details and urgency of security-related issues effectively

•Experience with common open-source security and system management tooling including but not limited to:

• •Packet capture tools
• •Iptables and/or common commercial firewall tools
• •Scripting languages including Python, unix and Windows shell scripting
• •Docker and Kubernetes
• •Host-based IDS and security scanners

Responsibilities

•Collaborate with team members to develop and implement security controls across a wide array of operational environments including development infrastructure, test and staging environments, production application and short- and long-term data storage facilities

•Evaluate and recommend tooling to support security objectives including authentication, authorization, privacy control in both zero-trust and least-privilege models

•Help identify and remediate potential security vulnerabilities across a wide range of internal and external applications and environments

•Deploy, configure, manage and monitor automated solutions for managing vulnerability scanning and compliance requirements and ensuring visibility and alerting for same

•Design, implement, and manage security controls and effective security auditing processes

•Commercial and open-source VPN solutions
