Your role:

 

The Director of Engineering for digital pricing has a broader primary responsibility for setting up and executing the global pricing strategy for Ingram Micro Xvantage™ platform in the areas of design, development that can span across multiple business units. The Director of Engineering for digital pricing will collaborate closely with the Digital product management, Global IS, Enterprise Architecture, and the Global Infrastructure teams to align the delivery of global pricing solution for Ingram Micro Xvantage™.

The Director of Engineering for digital pricing is knowledgeable in eCommerce solutions and provides oversight to the technical team. This Director will also be responsible for ensuring proper solutions are delivered and that adequate change control, rigorous testing, and training are done prior to moving changes into production. This position will contribute to improving the ability of business teams to adopt, support, and promote Ingram Micro’s pricing platforms. The Director will participate with other technical leads, managers, and directors in setting the architectural and technology roadmap for building nimble and scalable pricing solutions for
Ingram Micro Xvantage™.

The Director of Engineering must be able to research and evaluate additional tools and services in the marketplace that can be utilized to provide enhanced functionality to our solutions and modernize systems. This role is also responsible for budgets, presentations at the executive level, metric reporting, and the administrative management of IS Managers and non-managers.

 

  • Design and develop strategic pricing platform and recommendations engine for new and existing products to maximize revenue opportunity across customer segments
  • Digital pricing for packaged offerings, individual products, and value-add capabilities which include coordination of pricing implementation, discount management, pricing tactics, and management of pricing across the value chain
  • Support the digital sales channel strategy and establish digital pricing and commercial models that identify optimal pricing levels informed by customer needs, revenue optimization and risk mitigation considerations
  • Design and develop real time pricing steering console for Ingram go-to-market associates to manage the price Collaborate and work closely with Global Product management team in building pricing product strategies which will sustain value creation for the company
  • Goal oriented and analytical-strategic mind-set: ability to create, consolidate, analyze, and interpret large financials data sets, providing concise/high level insights Lead cross-functional engineering teams to enhance and scale the Ingram Micro’s digital pricing platforms.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and innovation.
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices
  • Addresses system and business issues and resolves them to have a positive effect on the entire department and not just the individual subject area
  • Coordinates with and leads users in the resolution of business problems Identifies business opportunities and works with users in resolution
  • Plans business objectives and sets department’s expectations by providing direction to the team on multiple software development initiatives using primarily the .NET framework, C#, and Elasticsearch
  • Stays current with new technologies and identifies opportunities for innovative ideas regarding technology selection to ensure best practices and technologies are being used
  • Works with management to define business requirements and communicate product engineering initiative progress, ensuring initiatives align with business needs
  • Researches and selects implemented systems that are cost-effective, scalable, high performance, and reusable
  • Provides technical guidance to members of the team as appropriate Identify the training needs for the teams and partner with leadership and HR teams to conduct these training using suitable platforms
  • Responsible for hiring, salary decisions, performance reviews, and career path mentorship of eCommerce leaders and professionals
  • Evangelize a DevOps mindset where your teams are accountable for product from inception to sunset Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technology, and complex workflows.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of 15+ years of programming and systems design, deployment, and management OR Master’s degree and 10 years of management experience in programming and systems design, deployment is required Experienced in managing pricing decisions, enabling repeatable pricing strategies, segmentation analysis, competitive benchmarking, price tiering, and price sensitivity modeling
  • Proven track record of leading pricing efforts in technology-intensive industries with demonstrated expertise in pricing strategy formulations B2B eCommerce experience in building high-volume transactional platforms using .NET, Java, and other front-end technologies
  • Specialized in Microservices Architecture using Kubernetes (AKS or EKS) Experience with using middleware technology to integrate ERP systems such as SAP ECC (IDOC, BAPI, RFC) and/or legacy systems
  • Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Relevant Science and Math disciplines Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred
