Position Summary:

    • Coordinate the monthly financial closing and reporting processes 
    • Ensure timely reporting of accurate and complete financial results for all Lines of Business in accordance with Local and US GAAP 
    • Identify and address Local and US GAAP reporting matters during the close or for special projects and support the countries on US GAAP questions that may be applicable. 
    • Evaluate all aspects of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Working Capital 
    • Supporting proper segmented accounting by Line of Business as reported through OneStream. Analyze and address segmentation mappings and OPEX allocations and work with Finance and Corporate Finance Systems to resolve any reconciling items 
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reconciliations on reported financials and consolidation entries. 
    • Responsible for maintaining accounts and records in various accounting functions.  
    • Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares reports and recommendations.  
    • Reviews, verifies and approves transactions and journal entries.  
    • Monitor, assess, and enhance controls and procedures as necessary.  Ensure that there are no SOX material weaknesses in the financial reporting process.  Review regional balance sheet review findings (occasionally participate directly) and follow-up on material issues noted.  Oversee the SOX compliance audit which will be executed largely by Internal Audit 

    What you bring to the role:  

    • Requires CPA, CMA, CGA  (or additional relevant experience in a related field).  
    • Minimum 5 years of functional experience including a minimum of 4 years of position-specific experience and 2 years of supervisory experience or 4 years of leadership experience. 
    • Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Sets goals and objectives for team members for the achievement of operational results. Problems faced may be difficult to moderately complex.  
    • Influences others outside of their own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures. Manages a staff of professional and support associates.  
    • Makes day-to-day decisions for group/department. 
    • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Assignments are defined in terms of activities and objectives.  
    • Objectives for the assigned area defined by upper management. Some latitude to make decisions to achieve a defined goal.  
    • Will generally have assumed at least the Senior Professional level of experience before becoming a manager.  
    • Regularly applies expertise in day-to-day activities.  
    • May fill the role of a staff member in complex situations.
