*This position is in the Irvine, California corporate headquarters and has the opportunity for hybrid work with up to three days remote per week.  


Your role:

 Data continues to transform organizations. We are recruiting an insights leader to take rich internal and external data and generate actionable value for our resellers and vendors through our digital platforms.

 The ideal candidate is an experienced data scientist and leader who can meet with business stakeholders, understand the problems they are trying to solve, then go and solve them. This position will directly manage a team of data scientists, data analysts and developers.

 The Digital Insights Leader will own the roadmap, execution and results of insights generated from internal and external data sources. We expect insights to help our partners excel at their business objectives and create stickiness with our organization by helping them uncover new opportunities, be at the cusp of market trends, increase the ease of doing business and leveraging data to stay ahead of market conditions. The Insights Leader will work with business stakeholders and CX leaders about emerging priorities and stay current on analytic trends. This role is responsible for developing the roadmap, performing the data analysis, building the solution on the platform, measuring the impact, enhancing the models, and consistently adding new insights to various segments, optimizing a personalized platform experience.                         

                       

  • Ability to meet with senior stakeholders and understand business problems. Communication and willingness to assert yourself is key
  • Strong leadership. Success comes from scaling the excellence the leader embodies. The ideal candidate will be able to mentor and grow junior associates to challenge their limits
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders. The power of Insights is multiplied when leveraged outside of digital use cases; building rapport to digitize existing ideas and spread new ideas will help our organization make our digital twin reality
  • Work with large datasets. Knowledge of programing languages. We are using the Google Cloud Platform through BigQuery. There are a variety of compatible modeling tools you can use.
  • Ability to go deep into datasets and propose ideas of ways the data can generate value for our various stakeholders. What are ways we can use the data as-is? What additional insights could we leverage if we augmented it with first party or third-party data? What existing solutions exist in the market?
  • Model development. Lead our practice of leveraging statistical, Machine Learning, AI, economic, geographic, and applied mathematical models to address our complex business problems. Models will be both causal and predictive.
  • Maintain the health of machine learning systems implemented in market. Evaluate speed, accuracy, reliability, and performance. Our ability to get insights into market is critical; our success is evaluated off our learnings and improvements.
  • Be curious. What business problems can we solve with data? How can analytics or data science make our organization better?
  • We can teach you tools, we can’t teach you attitude and thought process. If you are unfamiliar with the tools we are using, show us how you’ve learned what you do know, we believe you can get up to speed quickly

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Data Science, Operations Research, or similar. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of direct reports
  • 8+ years of quantitative experience (industry, consulting, government, academics, or post-doc work)
  • Ability to apply insights to high impact questions with immediate and long-term relevance
  • Experience developing causal models to derive insights about market behavior and building predictive models to forecast upstream and downstream market activities
  • Experience designing and executing field experiments to draw insights from market behavior
  • Experience with machine learning and AI models
