This position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week

As part of our Finance team, you’ll ensure Ingram Micro operates with financial integrity, providing insights that drive specific investments and long-term growth across global markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and files all corporate tax returns and reports in compliance with established deadlines.
  • Responsible for determining tax implications of company actions and develops strategies for minimizing liability.
  • Responsible for both direct and indirect tax.
  • Prepare provisional tax computation, including tax provision schedules and reconciliations for timely submission of annual tax returns and tax estimates.
  • Keep updated with the new regulations and budget announcements and evaluate the potential tax implications.
  • Identify and improve tax processes.
  • Prepare & review balance sheet reconciliation and recommend adjustment.
  • Provide support to CFE and finance manager in other finance functions, including, treasury, statutory audit and budgeting.
  • Ad hoc duties as may arise from time to time.
  • Stays informed about changes in federal, provincial, and local tax legislation and provides leadership/executives with guidance on any changes.
  • Oversight and knowledge of the environmental fees and legislation across Canada.
  • Analyze and interpret tax regulations and prepare required tax reports so that the organization meets its tax obligations and objectives.
  • Maintain tax information and records as needed.
  • Responsible for preparing tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports so that they are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with all levels of government, including provincial and federal authorities, on matters related to tax audits.
  • Assist the corporate team by providing necessary information, including US tax returns, as required.
  • Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations and prepare technical reports on how they impact the organization's operations.
  • Prepare correspondence with external tax agencies and consultants (for example, auditors).
  • May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions. May analyze and incorporate International Tax issues.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of Tax experience within competitive industries.
  • CA or CPA designations are required, while CMA and CGA designations would be an asset.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to details.
  • Must be able to collaborate and effectively manage time.
  • Experience with tax software, including OneSource or similar, is considered an asset.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the Tax function.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
  • Local in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts in the tax field.
