Join our cutting-edge automated distribution center at Ingram Micro!

Are you passionate about keeping complex systems running smoothly? Do you have hands-on experience with facility maintenance in high-tech environments? Ingram Micro is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to support our state-of-the-art Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) facility in Moore, South Carolina. In this role, you’ll help ensure operational excellence by performing general repairs, coordinating with vendors, and supporting sustainability initiatives across the facility.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform a variety of hands-on maintenance and repair tasks, including basic electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
  • Assist with internal office and equipment moves, including setting up furniture and partitions.
  • Estimate labor and material costs for facility repairs and minor construction projects.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to complete repair and maintenance work.
  • Support the development of facility plans and help ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Monitor and suggest improvements for operational efficiencies and environmental sustainability.
  • Assist in reviewing and estimating design costs and ensuring adherence to facility standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical components such as motors, rollers, bearings, chains, and shafts.
  • Understand and support PLC systems, automation, field boxes, control devices, and software at a basic level.
  • Perform minor fabrication and welding tasks as needed.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Solid experience with electrical systems (A/C, D/C), including installing raceways/EMT and basic understanding of control devices.
  • Mechanical proficiency with shafts, motors, bearings, sprockets, rollers, and related systems.
  • Working knowledge of automated conveyor systems and ability to troubleshoot common issues.
  • Familiarity with automation and PLC systems within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate with contractors and cross-functional teams to meet facility needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-year degree preferred.
  • 3 years of general experience or 2 years functional experience.
  • Experience working in a fully automated or ASRS-based distribution facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering Technology.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $35,000.00 - $52,600.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.

At Ingram Micro certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus or sales incentives and long-term incentives. These awards are allocated based on position level and individual performance.
