Dir, Compliance Officer

As a Dir, Compliance Officer you will be responsible for the overall implementation, management and continuous improvement of the company’s Compliance Program in the EMEA region. You will be assessing compliance risks and needs; developing compliance policies and processes; developing and delivering compliance training; monitoring compliance processes; conducts ethics and compliance investigations; provides guidance to business teams on compliance-related matters; promotes a strong ethics and compliance culture; supports and implements global compliance initiatives in the Region; and contributes to the further development of the Program globally.  This position reports to the Vice-President, Chief Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Implement the Ingram Micro Compliance Program designed at the corporate level and propose adaptations of the same to address regional specificities in terms of:
    • Risk identification
    • Regulatory monitoring
    • Creation/maintenance of policies and controls
    • Compliance training/communications
    • Management/investigation/resolution of issues (reported through the Hotline or the Sunshine rule)
    • Assessment of the program effectiveness
  • Develop, distribute and/or deliver effective training and communications in support of the Program, including language localizations as appropriate.
  • Oversee management and tracking of the Ingram Micro Hotline matters in the Region.
  • Lead, conduct and manage complex compliance and ethics related investigations, inspections and audits as assigned.
  • Partnering with Internal Audit, periodically assesses the Program or components of the Program in the Region. Develop and implement with local business teams appropriate recommendations.
  • Manage and further develop the Compliance Ambassador network in the Region through training, communications and other appropriate support.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—e.g., HR, Legal, Internal Audit, Finance, Security and other business functions—to identify, mitigate and resolve ethics and compliance matters.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams as needed to implement compliance initiatives effectively.
  • Build the company’s external reputation relating to Ingram Micros’ values, in particular Integrity, maintaining appropriate visibility and involvement in the Region’s ethics and compliance community.

 Job Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • University degree in law, accounting, or a related field required.  LLM with a major University or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • SCCE Compliance certifications is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of legal, audit or compliance experience preferably with a global IT company.
  • Understanding of the IT Channel, its contractual specificities, usual compliance requirements imposed by vendors and legal issues/regulatory requirements which govern it
  • Familiarity with anti-corruption, anti-trust, anti-money laundering and US Export Controls compliance is required; experience with data privacy compliance is a plus.
  • Investigation skills
  • Strong sense of integrity and the ability to balance business interests with the need to exercise independent judgment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and relate at all levels of the company. English C1
  • Strong diplomatic skills, patience, and the proven ability to find creative, business-friendly solutions
  • Ability to face workload pressure and make timely/efficient/professional decisions and to work with other team members in the Company
