The Sr. Manager, Release engineering possesses a lean-agile mindset forged through years of experience scaling agile practices across globally distributed software development teams. The ideal candidate will provide agile thought leadership across a wide array of modern delivery initiatives and will lead agile specialty positions including Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Agile Program Managers who, collaborate across teams and geographies as needed to ensure timely delivery of Ingram Micro's strategic road map. This position collaborates with department leaders to proactively identify and resolve process deficiencies, bottlenecks and organizational constraints impeding Ingram Micro's ability to deliver predictably.
Support the delivery of Ingram Micro's product road map.
Lead, manage and mentor a team of globally distributed agile specialists.
Hire high performing product owners, scrum masters and agile program managers.
Support the team by removing impediments, resolving concerns and escalating where needed to ensure the team has a clear path to execute.
Curate Agile training content for onboarding and continued learning.
Evaluate existing processes, team structures and ALM tools to identify improvement opportunities.
Create initiatives and set goals that improve operational efficiency through adoption of agile practices.
Provide metrics to bring transparency into the process and drive improvements across the development ecosystem.
Coach the team on agile best practices to improve predictability.
Create transparency into agile operating model.
Collaborate with senior leadership to streamline and continuously improve the SDLC.

Masters in computer science or equivalent work experience
15+ years experience leading and managing technical professionals
10 years building agile teams and leading software development practices in a fast paced distributed environment
5 years implementing agile frameworks such as Kanban, SCRUM, SAFe
3 years experience as a contributor on an agile team
Able to transform multiple teams from hybrid and waterfal software development practices to Scrum and Kanban where applicable
Extended track record of delivering training in a manner that ensures knowledge transfer
Track record of resolving impediments that exist outside of the team environment. For example, working with functional managers to prepare the technical environment for agile teams, or align agile team structure to ensure success.
