Technical Sales Consultant - Dell EMC Storage

Ingram Micro has an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Consultant specialising in Dell EMC Storage.

This is a new role which will be focused on augmenting the technical and sales capabilities of Ingram Micro’s partner community to help drive new opportunities and progress existing opportunities within the partner’s markets.  This will involve working within partner organisations at sales, technical and senior levels. 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of dealing at C-level for the purpose of qualifying and designing technical solutions.  A significant part of the role is to masquerade as a team member of the partner. In this capacity you will elevate the partner’s value proposition and abilities to successfully position Dell EMC Storage solutions from both technical and commercial standpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • External Pre-Sales Support and Consultation - provide support to our reseller partners and will act as an extension of their organization to augment their capabilities to successfully position Dell EMC Storage solutions within their relevant market segments
  • Enablement and knowledge transfer - provide technical sales enablement to partner sales and technical teams that expand the footprint of Dell EMC Storage within their businesses. This will involve lunch and learns, the running of enablement events for partners and their target markets
  • Vendor Engagement - Responsible for establishing relationships with key vendor sales and technical resources and then promoting the value of Ingram Micro to these representatives to ensure all opportunities gathered at the vendor level are passed through to Ingram Micro

You will bring:

  • A wealth  of experience selling within the tech space.
  • Dell EMC Storage knowledge/ experience
  • Sales obsessed and financially driven with solid networking and consulting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Humble, honest, trustworthy, Positive and solution orientated
