Ingram Micro's Cloud Harmonics team is looking for a Solution Architect. As a Solution Architect you will provide technical support security platforms with a primary focus on Palo Alto. This role is centered around supporting security solutions, aiding customer success, while continuing individual professional growth.  This customer facing role will be carried out remotely via phone, email, and online meetings with limited travel and on-call rotation responsibilities. 

Network + or relevant certification is required.  PCNSE Certification preferred. We are willing to provide the training to obtain the PCNSA and PCNSE certification dependent on your overall experience for this role. 

The position is Austin, TX preferred, but remote will be considered.

We are a 24/7 organization, though this team primarily works 7am to 6pm Central.

Specific responsibilities include: Professional Services, Training, Pre-Sales/ Sales Engineering

  • Provide design and implementation support to clients and customers of Cloud Harmonics. 
  • Be available for remote and/or onsite work where required to best suit the needs of the company.
  • Effective onsite design and support organization that will benefit professional services clients as well students with an instructor with real world relevant experience.
  • Experience and demeanor will drive students back for additional training and product sales. Reinforces subject matter expertise
  • Provides vendor solutions to customer inquiries targeting specific technology requirements. Facilitates conversations with customers to provide the best solutions.  
  • Takes complex ideas and transcribes them into a clear, concise message to support the customer’s product understanding. Builds lab environments to support courseware development and enhance the customer’s experience

 What you bring to the role:

  • Broad computer infrastructure knowledge to include networking, systems, firewalls and private/public/hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Manages and creates support processes with limited oversight from manager.
  • Ability to remain calm and work under pressure when faced with difficult and complex issues.
  • Strive to be a subject matter expert within the support arena.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts in the security field.
  • Eagerness to learn through self-paced study as well as instructor lead courses
  • Willingness to stay on top of the latest security technology.
  • Passion, commitment, and flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a strong technical skill set acquired through advanced training, study and experience
  • Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent technical job related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years functional experience in networking and/or security industry including a minimum of 1 years position-specific experience in either technical training, pre-sales support, or professional services.  
  • Minimum of 1 professional certification from 1 supported vendor.
  • Professional Level Networking or Security Certificate. PCNSE or CCNP preferred. 
  • Specialist in technical or business skills to allow for significant contribution to processes and systems.  Individuals with a customer focus have developed the acumen to cultivate and develop lasting customer relations.
