We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor at our Distribution Centre in Wiri, Manukau to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and increase the company’s overall market share.

The Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily operational activities to ensure optimum levels of productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. The role will also be responsible for ongoing performance of the team, ensuring that service levels are maintained, that relevant safety processes and procedures are in place and that Operational productivity opportunities are identified.

About the Role:

  • Supervise day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs
  • Implement and supervise the adherence of up-to-date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs
  • Respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions
  • Identify and escalate training and qualification gaps and conduct induction and technical training for the team
  • Implement site plans within own area of operation

About You:

  • Previous Warehouse experience/distribution experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Team Lead/Supervisor position
  • Relevant qualifications and/or certificates in the industry
  • Experience in people management, within a unionised environment
  • Keen sense of customer needs and can anticipate requirements
  • Strong attention to detail with sense of urgency and decisiveness
  • Warehouse Management Systems Experience (SAP, JDE or similar), including experience managing serialised products
  • Proven ability to implement Continuous Improvement initiatives
