Ideal Candidate Profile:
A professional with a strong desire to partner with internal and external customers, focused on inventory optimization, sku rationalization, category management and backorder management. The new hire will be mentored by senior leadership and will have the ability to work with every department within our company. The Ideal candidate will feel comfortable collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimization inventory.


Location:

We offer a hybrid working environment, the employee has the flexibility to split their week between working remote and in our corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA.  Expected to work 3 days in office per week.


Position Summary:

  • Provide reporting and analytics support for category management, inventory optimization and backorder management.
  • Support Request for Proposal process which includes data gathering, category & assortment analysis, vendor selection, RFQ coordination, bid analysis, contract negotiation and execution.
  • Support implementation of category management and backorder management processes and tools.
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to support the needs of the business.
  • Support the department’s efforts in achieving set annual objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and identify trends that impact category through sales, inventory, competitive landscape, and customer data.
  • Leverage data analytics tools to organize, summarize and visualize data into meaningful insights that drive category initiatives and decision process.
  • Coordinate and manage RFP sourcing process for category sourcing events.
  • Participate in assortment planning process and support allocation strategies. Provide analysis and research to support the creation of the assortment and buy plans.
  • Work collaboratively across other departments on inventory optimization and assortment planning to drive category results.
  • Provide other ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates technical competence to grasp new concepts and applications quickly
  • Ability to work independently with strong mentorship
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient within Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI) & Qlik Sense
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Driven and motivated individual who is eager to learn
