Purchasing Specialist (Sr Associate, Purchasing)

This position will provide support and contribute to the Purchasing Team by ensuring alignment to the processes and procedures carried out by the company.

This position will perform activities involving extensive interaction to external and internal customers or stakeholders. It is expected that candidate is reliable, keen to details, organized, focused and has good judgement & professionalism to attend to the demand of organization.


What You Bring to the Role:

  • Purchasing & Finance Portal Management
  • Negotiation with Vendors
  • Conduct Request for Proposal (RFP) events and Bid Evaluation (BE) recommendations
  • External Accreditation Compliance
  • Records Management

The Ideal Candidate must have the qualifications:

  • Preferably a graduate of any 4-year degree course with Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business/Finance and/or Supply Chain related
  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • At least 2 to 3 years’ Functional Experience in Strategic Sourcing, Domestic Sourcing with procurement process, facility builds out and fit out.
Functional Exposure and ideal proficiency & Technical Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of principles and practices of Procurement and Logistics
  • Basic knowledge of principles and practices of Vendor Administration
  • Basic knowledge of Accounts Payable, Collection, Contract, and Vendor Management
  • Sound knowledge of negotiation and able to persuade external and internal customers in a professional manner
    Fundamentals in Verbal, Written, and Interpersonal Communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, including knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and familiarity with the Internet and Applications
  • Strong organizational, administrative and time management skills. Initiative and judgment to independently problem solve and prioritize.
  • Has the ability to work independently, but also as a strong team member when the situation warrants.
    Familiar with reports preparation, tracker and monitoring documents, etc.
  • With background in Continuous Process Improvement and Government Compliance procedure.
