Role Title: Product Manager - Poly 

About role :

This role is an integral position in ensuring that the Vendor partnership is managed successfully for Ingram Micro and orders are processed timely and accurately. This role also entails meeting sales objectives through the coordination and processing of detailed purchase orders. Providing sales support as well as assistance in managing relationships with key contacts within the vendor.

The Product Manager has a responsibility to ensure that the Vendor partnership is managed profitably for Ingram Micro. This entails managing the Vendor agreement with close attention to profitability (GM$ & GM %), rebates, co-op, claims, forecasting demand by product code, Product group, inventory management, evaluation stock, sales support and financial benefits available from the vendor as required. The Product Manager has to understand the market strategy and positioning of the Vendor’s products and actively seek feedback from the sales team and customers on pricing, competitors’ performance and product trends.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Proven work experience in product management or as an Assistant Product Manager or minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, driven attitude.
  • Should be resilient, accountable and willing to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Purchasing and Procurement background is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with the SAP system
  • Proven negotiation and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that build credible internal and external working relationships
  • Good organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
