Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the SVP, Corporate Controller, the Regional Controller will have the responsibility in all aspects of strategic and operational accounting across their respective regions, acting as the principal accounting liaison between Corporate Controllership and to the Regional Extended Finance Support (EFS) Teams and the Local Country Controllership Teams. This role will also dotted line report into the respective regional CFOs. 
 

The Regional Controller heads and mentors the Controllership community across their respective region and is responsible for driving and educating local teams on the company’s global accounting policies and initiatives, as well as directing the financial vision to support successful operations and compliance with existing policy, procedures, and reporting deadlines. He/she manages, together with local Finance teams, the countries’ balance sheet reviews, internal audits, the external audit (and quarterly reviews), including SOX control work, quarterly reporting packages, adherence with corporate accounting policies, compliance with financial reporting deadlines, and overall US GAAP adherence. Must be able to work well in a matrix organization. 
 




What you bring to the role:

  • CPA (or Charted accountant) required
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience
  • Spanish and English speaker -will be required for LATAM only; English proficiency required for EMEA and APAC
  • Big 4 public accounting experience required; minimum of 5 years preferred
  • Team Leadership / People management / General Management experience
  • In-depth financial accounting and commercial finance knowledge
  • Expert in US GAAP
  • Good communication and presentation skills. Able to simplify complex arguments in both verbal and written communication.
  • Able to gain respect from and to influence senior management at all levels.
  • Experience in multi-country environment
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Strong intellectual horsepower and able to multi-task.
  • Sound process control knowledge
  • Well-developed analytical skills: proven ability to set up and critically evaluate reporting and relevant KPI’s.
