About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our friendly Finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial controller, you will the opportunity to own the company’s end-to-end opex reporting, including accounting for payroll and intercompany recharges, ensuring that reporting is accurate, timely, and complete.

What you can expect to be getting up to as an Accounts Assistant

  • Efficiently interrogate various internal systems to extract relevant data.
  • Owning the end-to-end opex reporting including:
    • Preparation of monthly opex related accruals and prepayments.
    • Reconciling and posting payroll to the accounts.
    • Identifying and explaining variances from budget.
    • Ensuring the correct coding of opex costs during the month.
    • Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of all opex related balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Recharging of overhead costs to our intercompany partners in the UK, EMEA & the US.
  • Managing currency hedge requests and various other admin tasks.
  • Ad hoc analytical activities as required from management.

  • Understanding basic accounting principles and processes
  • The ability to solve problems and to design and implement solutions to a variety of different challenges and issues.
  • Strong questioning and listening skills.
  • A clear and confident communicator
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and impact.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial information quickly and efficiently.
  • Have the drive and motivation to proactively develop own skills to enable development as part of a specific Individual Development Plan
