Your role:

Analyst Relations is a strategic function that is focused on engaging with independent third-party research, analysis, and consulting firms that have influence on the market through their published research and/or their sought-after opinions and advisory.  The Senior Analyst Relations Manager is responsible for building valuable relationships with these firms, turning industry analysts and influencers into trusted strategic advisors, advocates, and prescribers to benefit Ingram Micro & CloudBlue's strategy, influence the brand, shape the product roadmap, and impact the sales funnel. 

Responsibilities include nurturing and strengthening existing relationships, researching relevant analysts; coordinating inquiries, briefings, and evaluation activities; and conducting regular outreach to keep target analysts, at firms such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC and many more.  In addition, they will be a key driver in connecting market research with internal data to support brand messaging efforts and position Ingram Micro as a valuable business partner to the IT industry.  In doing so, they will partner closely with corporate communications, investor relations, as well as public relations to share and validate a cohesive message, while also representing the voice of the partner to our target audience through testimonials. 

 

Job Overview:

 

  • Develop and implement strategic endpoint analyst relations plans and Corporate AR programs in alignment with company and portfolio objectives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Marketing, executives, and other cross functional teams to create programs and plans that will drive analyst awareness of Ingram Micro Cloud and significantly expand analyst understanding and support of our differentiation and value propositions.
  • Bring deep experience and a successful track record of participation in major analyst research such as Gartner Magic Quadrant, The Forrester Wave, and IDC MarketScape.
  • Generate Analyst Relations content, including briefing documents, messaging, competitive positioning, rebuttals and responses to crises and issues.
  • Manage reporting and advise senior leaders about analyst perceptions of Ingram Micro Cloud, and share insights from key analyst reports to the organization.
  • Plan and execute events and meetings.
  • Recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function.
  • Manages large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.
  • May coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals.
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
  • May be the in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area.


What you bring to the role:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience, preferably in the B2B technology industry.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in a specialized field.
  • Possess broad knowledge of professional field and other related functions.
  • Goals are provided to the incumbent in form of desired results.
  • Determines and develops approach to solve functional area related issues.
  • Possess the strongest of skills acquired through advanced training, study, and experience.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a collaborative work style.
  • Trusted relationships with analysts and influencers.
  • Knowledge of trends in communications and analyst relations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working directly with executives, product management and product marketing functions.
  • Proven and successful in balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

 

Travel: Approximately 3-5 times per year to Ingram events and conferences.

The typical base pay range for this role in Irvine, California is USD low $82,400.00 - mid $111,200.00 - max $140,100.00 per year.
 

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay in Irvine, California; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
