Position Overview: As part of the General Ledger group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial reporting process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze financial data, and contribute to the company's strategic financial decisions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and contribute to the generation of timely and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Month-end Close: Assist in the month-end close process, including reconciling accounts, journal entries, and accruals, to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and analyzing transactions, ensuring proper coding and classification.
- Fixed Assets: Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including tracking additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
- Variance Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial results and variances, providing insights into the underlying drivers of business performance.
- Internal Controls: Support the implementation and adherence to internal control procedures, contributing to a strong control environment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the record-to-report function.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing documentation and responding to inquiries during internal and external audits.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, operations, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate and complete financial data capture and reporting.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or related roles, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
- Knowledge of internal controls and audit processes.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives is advantageous.
- Role is for nightshift and hybrid work set-up.
