Position Summary: -

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Manager - Direct Tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all direct tax-related matters for our operations in India, ensuring compliance with tax laws, optimizing tax strategies, and providing strategic tax planning advice to support our business objectives.


Job Role & Responsibilities: - to be filled by Rajat

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct tax returns, including Income Tax, TDS, Advance Tax, and other related filings. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company's operations, and implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance
  • Transfer Pricing: Manage transfer pricing documentation, ensuring adherence to transfer pricing regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with the global transfer pricing team to ensure consistency and compliance with international standards
  • Audits and Assessments: Coordinate and manage direct tax audits, assessments, and appeals. Prepare and provide necessary documentation, explanations, and responses to tax authorities. Work closely with external advisors when needed
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
  • Tax Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IND AS) and tax laws. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper reporting of tax-related matters
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and business teams, to provide proactive tax advice and support for various business initiatives and transactions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CA with 8 to 10 Years of Experience in Direct Taxation and Transfer Pricing vertical in large product-based organization or Big 4.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in direct tax, preferably within a multinational corporation or a reputable consulting firm
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements.
  • Experience in managing tax audits, assessments, and appeals.
  • Proficient in using tax software and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential information
