What value are you going to add to Ingram Micro:

Purchasing
Raising and physical placement of orders as per agreed purchasing schedule
Expediting shipments
Sales order backlog management to ensure maximum fill rates
Communicate vendor backlog dates on the system and to PM and ST
Responsible on imports for short shipments, damages etc – their escalation and resolution
Liase with insurers along with logistics manager on short shipments
Following table of authorization for purchasing
Aware of weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines
Responsible for classification of stocks and editing as necessary
Responsible for establishing and maintaining lead times
  • Logistics
Set up logistics for new vendors and liase with Logistics teams
Responsible for freight from the origin to JBL warehouse or customer location if direct ship
Follow import procedures
Responsible for landed costs along with Logistics and Finance
  • Reporting
Send timely reporting and monthly reports to maximize rebates
  • Rotations
Follow rotations procedure for assessing rotation profitability
Liase with Products marketing and vendors to finalise rotations
Liasing with logistics manager for correct rotation procedures
Complete rotation timetable and owns this until company receive credit note
Completion of destruction if the rotation is not applicable
  • System maintenance
Entering new part numbers and following part number procedures
Complete control of average costs adjustment either on ageing or PP claims
Data entry of backlog dates and ensure customer service are informed of delays for large deals
Obsolete procedures
  • Contracts
Update contract on file and liase with vendor and PM to renegotiate if applicable
Maintaining latest & signed contract in vendor contract file
Maintaining summary sheet
Any other duty deemed necessary by the Purchasing Manager

Here's what it takes to be one of the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in purchasing, supply chain or related
  • 1 months to 2 year of experience in Purchasing role
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Result and Details Oriented
  • Customer Impact top of mind
