SUMMARY The materials supervisor is responsible for coordinating the materials replenishment and delivery to the production plant in Costa Rica. This person must work together with the operations, planning, and procurement teams to ensure that the materials inventory is updated and has enough quantities to supply current and future production demands without overstocking. The employee in this position must apply inventory management strategies to generate a proper flow of goods within the company, as well as materials distribution control through the supply chain, and inventory level management to ensure the financial health of the Company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate the material needed to determine the replenishment orders, quantities, and frequency so that financial objectives of the Company are properly balanced. Standardize the replenishment processes through the supply chain in North America. Implement programs to eliminate the overstocking and reduce the number of obsolete parts in the inventory. Develop inventory management solutions and planning tools to support the company objectives and ensure a constant parts supply. Keep constant communication with the departments of planning, logistics, and production to ensure that materials are delivered as required. Document all the processes related to materials management. Create and post key performance indicators on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in terms of departments and top management. Create financial KPIs to ensure that the material expenses do not exceed the budget. Keep an efficient parts flow and transaction control in all areas related to the Materials Department. Inform the Department Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Supervisors and Materials Leaders about the number of kits produced daily in the MQE area. Inform the Department Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Supervisors and Materials Leaders about the parts availability to meet the daily goals at the end of each shift. Ensure the transactions (MCOG´s) are updated in a weekly basis. REQUIREMENTS: Education: University degree Engineering or Business Administration.
