Sr. Professional, Sales Support (Security Lead)

With a primary focus of overseeing the transactional work of a cluster of vendors and/or one large, complex vendor, the Sr. Professional, Sales Support is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with vendors being supported, is known as a product/category expert and is responsible for implementing, driving and advancing vendor initiatives, technology, up/cross sell and operational improvements.

The Sr. Professional, Sales Support maintains a current and extensive understanding of the vendors they support and ensures operational efficiency is maximized. They are the primary owner of new vendor onboarding into their patch and assist with smooth integration with Ingram Micro with the support of the Operations Support/Specialist team.

They serve as a liaison between Ingram Micro, the customer and the vendor when driving efficiencies and day to day operations, managing SLAs, escalations. May be asked to lead/participate in vendor formal operational business reviews and are required to facilitate operational vendor meetings regularly.

Although the focus of the role is not fully transactional in nature, the Sr. Professional, Sales Support is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of transactional work and executing during peak periods. Team leadership is critical in managing through day to day work and developing the team skills set as a whole.

They will be required to act as a lead to coach and train other Operations team members.

They may also be required to participate on special project teams across the organization and May travel up to 15% of their time.


High school diploma (or equivalent) and minimum of seven years previous sales/customer service experience (preferably in a related industry) or six years’ experience with Ingram Micro in a sales/customer service capacity equivalent to a  Professional, Sales Support OR a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years previous sales/customer service experience (preferably in a related industry) or three year experience with Ingram Micro in a sales/customer service capacity equivalent to a (Sr.) Professional, Sales Support

Knowledge of: Professional, effective telephone techniques and customer care. Moderate technical and product knowledge.

Moderate understanding of Ingram Micro programs, products and services is desirable.

Skilled in:
Professional sales and negotiations techniques, building solid customer relationships and operating a personal computing. Moderate knowledge of Excel and Word required.

Excellent communication skills: written and verbal required. Strong organizational skills and problem solving agility also required.
Previous ERP system experience desired.
