Ingram Micro is seeking an Cloud Infrastructure Engineer focused on ensuring partner deployments are both performant and cost effective. You will develop and offer guidance on cloud infrastructure for partner engagements, including (but not limited to) integration, network, security, privacy and compliance, identity and access management (IAM), governance, data management, budgeting, analytics and protection and user experience. You must be a customer-first thinker, articulate in your written and verbal communication, and a resourceful self-starter ready to make an impact.

As Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide technical guidance to customers and solutions architects adopting CloudBlue Commerce on both Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS environments. You will be responsible for establishing the process and executing workload right sizing and Reserved Instance purchasing and management. Working closely with Product Management and R&D, you will develop platform infrastructure roadmap along with Infrastructure managed services pricing. Working with the Cloud Engineering team, you will establish best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automate provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize existing Azure infrastructure deployments for cost and performance, including managing reserved instance lifecycle
  • Provide Azure infrastructure cost estimates for new partner engagements, including CloudBlue Commerce platform and custom deployments
  • Harness deep familiarity with Azure to support sales and solution architects engaging new customers by validating and improving architecture designs
  • Remain engaged with partner account managers and road map to ensure deployments continue to fulfill partner needs
  • Engage with R&D teams to ensure alignment on technical roadmap
  • Automate provisioning and configuration management of Commerce platforms
  • Support day to day operational management of Cloud infrastructure

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, BS preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Cloud architecture including experience across Azure/AWS cloud engineering, systems integration, and scalable system design
  • Extensive experience working with Azure including IaaS, Migrate, AKS, DBaaS, Log Analytics, App Service
  • Scripting experience is an absolute MUST – PowerShell, Python
  • Experience working with Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible or Puppet
  • Experience with change control processes, security reviews, service transition and maintenance procedures leveraging ITIL best practices
  • Ability to influence and manage multiple stakeholders across diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, quickly responding to stakeholders by giving visibility to the status of where work stands
  • Experience in creating and defining new technical operational models and procedures, and explaining complex problems or situations
  • Strong process management, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Azure and or AWS certification preferred
