3rd Line Experienced Network Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced 3rd Line Network Engineer to join Comms-care’s Managed Services team preferably based from our HQ in Northwich however applications will be considered for remote working.

On a day to day basis you will be involved in:

• Remote analysis and support of customer faults and changes, utilising network management systems and remote access solutions.
• Escalations and liaising with manufacturer and other 3rd party support teams.
• Assisting with the identification of software faults and root cause analysis.
• Act as focal point and point of escalation for knowledge sharing between engineers.
• Requirement analysis and solution specification culminating in writing scope and design documents.

To be successful as a 3^rd Line Engineer you will need sound troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve faults efficiently within tight SLA’s in a fast-paced environment. You should also have excellent networking skills, that involve routing, switching and security.

You will have previous experience of field engineering or working in a remote support team. Ideally hold CCNP/equivalent or working towards achieving the certification and be able to confidently demonstrate skills and experience that reflects this certification. In addition, the role commands forward thinking with the ability to explore new technologies as a platform to deliver and support other areas of the business to expand our portfolio.

Location: Comms-care HQ / Remote (UK)

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Benefits package + Certified Training

Fundamental to this role:

• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN
• Experience with Cisco Meraki
• Experience/interest in VeloCloud
• Experience/interest in SDA
• Experience/interest in ISE
• Experience/interest in DNA
• A solid understanding of overlay and underlay fabrics.
• An interest in Software Defined Network, including SD-WAN, SDA and DNA.
• An interest in automation and programmability for future projects.
• Securing WAN edges, e.g. AMP, IPS etc
• A flexible approach to work and prepared to 'go the extra mile' to exceed customer expectations with an attention to detail
• Applies knowledge and skills through handling complex problems beyond own expertise
• Agreeable to working shifts if required.
