Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist manages the AR for large national retailers. This position is responsible for the collection of funds in a timely manner and is responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external people to ensure high client satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

  • Process payments for retail accounts.
  • Have working knowledge of deduction types.
  • Ability to research deductions and determine validity.
  • Work with other teams to ensure all processes flow smoothly.
  • Attend regular meetings to collaborate with sales team.
  • Reconcile unapplied credit/debit transactions
  • Research and direct application of incoming cash
  • Assist in the resolution of customer claims for loss/shortage/pricing and return variances
  • Ensure timely research and issuance of unauthorized deduction chargebacks
  • Maintain up to date understanding of Vendor portals and contracts
  • Provide back-up support of team responsibilities as needed
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
  • Provide recommendations for continuing improvements for processes and procedures

 

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to problem-solve 
  • Experience doing Accounts Receivable 
  • Understanding of basic accounting
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret contracts and compliance agreements
  • Ability to multi-task through several different processes
  • Navigate multi systems for research.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Analytical minded
  • High level of accuracy
  • Excellent with numbers and math skills
  • Efficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Self-motivated and can work independently
