The position will be responsible for promoting a safe environment, ensuring that the facility complies with the safety standards established by the Company, applying the corresponding guidelines, improving safety conditions and ensuring that safety policies and procedures at the facility are validated by government regulations.

 Essential Functions

  • Identify best practices and carry out continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, increase safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
  • Provide a work environment that supports a healthy and safe culture.
  • Carry out and/or or coordinate EHS and regulations Training for employees.
  • Monitor hazardous conditions and use of safety equipment.
  • Investigate work accidents to determine their causes, establish preventive measures and procedures to return to work.
  • Prepare, develop and implement policies related to occupational health.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state , rules, regulations, policies and procedures regarding the environment or public health.
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, reports to SETENA, Health Ministry, Blue Flag, requests for environmental or safety evaluation.

Education and Experience

Bachelor Degree as Engineering in Occupational Safety and Environmental Hygiene or related.

  • More than 5 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Experience implementing occupational health and emergency plans.
  • Experience in the field of industrial ergonomics in manufacturing plants.
  • Experience in first aid programs for brigades.
  • Health and safety commission and the brigade team within the organization.
  • Experience in regulations of Occupational Health, Environment, Safety in Free Zones.
  • Experience in audits in occupational health, safety and industrial maintenance.
  • Knowledge of management systems ISO: 9001-14001, 45000, OHSAS 18001.
  • Experience in leadership and personnel administration positions.
