What you’ll do

Here at Ingram Micro we are seeking a superstar Business Manager.  Reporting to the General Manager this is a senior role and requires best in class business management experience.  In this role you will manage a team of product managers and the relationship between Ingram Micro, its reseller partners, and the portfolio of Pro AV, IoT and Physical Security vendors. The primary responsibility of this role to is to work closely with internal teams, customers and external vendors to drive the demand for your sectors and improve Gross Margin, Revenue and Stock on Hand numbers whilst ensuring back-end efficiencies, reporting and management are maintained to the highest degree. This is a niche area within the ICT sector, so your success is limitless. 

We are interested in hearing from people with strong business acumen, team management, and proven business unit growth skills even if you lack Technology or vendor experience.

 

Other key responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Aligning teams, setting strategic direction, and leading the portfolio to attain company growth objectives.
  • Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that revenue, profitability, and inventory metrics are achieved.
  • Creating and developing with the Product Manager team quarterly marketing plans for both vendors and the business unit.
  • Working closely with the Ingram Micro sales team to ensure maximum mind share is achieved.
  • Working with Product Managers and support associates to ensure continued success of the portfolio.
  • Identify, negotiate, and onboard new vendors to the portfolio.

 

What you’ll bring

A strong background in Product/Business/Category Management is essential. Experience in either Physical Security, ProAV and or IoT highly desirable. 

  • Proven track record in managing a team.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong verbal and written negotiation and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in developing business/marketing plans and an ability to present the plans to both internal and external partners stake holders.
  • Experience with vendor recruitment/RFI development highly desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including excel skills and the capability to analyse to create meaningful reports and, advanced PowerPoint skills is highly desirable.
  • SAP and or Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience highly desirable. 

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing and building business units/teams in highly competitive markets. You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service with a bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing field and or equivalent professional experience.
