Principal Data Scientist, Global BI | Consultant Data Science
We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to work on developing statistical, machine learning, AI, economic, geographic, and applied mathematical models to address complex business problems in the tech and ecommerce space.
You will work within the Advanced Analytics team in the Global BI Department, reporting to a leader with a Ph.D. in Physics, to build predictive models, design and execute field experiments, model demand, perform supply chain optimization, design new products and applications, and develop state of the art machine learning and AI models.
The role will lead projects and collaborate with a diverse team of highly talented PhDs, M.A.s, and industry experts to use advanced scientific techniques on a world class data infrastructure to develop large-scale models with immediate and long term relevance. You will focus on new product development as well as own a portfolio of projects that require effective communication with cross-functional teams. As a principal data scientist, you will be a thought leader, acting as a mentor for the team, own projects, be positioned as a Subject Matter Expert, and be hands on building models and performing empirical analysis.
You will be responsible to provide deep analytical insights for internal and external client engagements. Understand client’s business goals and requirements, design and develop analytic approaches and data products tailored to their needs. Play a client leadership role, with hands on responsibility to help shape our approach to customer measurement strategies, solutions effectiveness tracking, offer and audience impact. Provide thought leadership in analytical product development, mentor analysts, and represent Ingram Micro and the team in professional conferences. Identify key intellectual properties developed by the team and seek protection by filing for patents.
