We are seeking an IT Manager (B2B) to play an integral role in our new product development program within the Global IT Engineering team, working with delivery teams in developing enterprise-level product solutions. The IT Manager, Global Engineering Delivery will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on product design and development and its future direction and success.
Your role:
The IT Manager, Global Engineering Delivery will work as a liaison between Product Manager/Scrum Master and engineering team for the successful delivery of enterprise solutions. He/she manages the daily activities of the engineering team of size varying from 7 to 10 to analyze, design, code, and deploy the solution in 2-week sprints.
The IT Manager, Global Engineering Delivery is responsible for the delivery of global deployment of one or more products in Ingram Micro’s digital transformation portfolio, understanding the vision for each product his team works on and actively proposing solutions and alternatives to bring us closer to that very same vision. This individual will need to work cross-functionally and be able to act as a leader, analyst, and development manager as well as a change agent for agile software development.
He/she needs to ensure that new initiatives will adhere to defined architectural requirements and methodologies while planning and guiding the evolution of Ingram Micro’s Digital ecosystem to support new requirements in a changing business environment. He/she will continuously innovate and evolve the usability and efficiency of the tools, make sure services provided align with business and technology trends, and actively seek out new technologies and new approaches.
The IT Manager, Global Engineering Delivery is, in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Product Engineering, responsible for hiring, salary decisions, performance reviews, discipline, promoting, and training of direct reports. He/she has also to ensure that every member of the team is working to at least a reasonable level and ideally beyond that. Work with them to help resolve any issues that are preventing them from reaching this level and make sure they are complying with all SCRUM ceremonies and software development best practices as defined by our multiple CoE's. Track team's velocity and constantly work to see it improved to reach industry level.
The primary responsibility of this position is to get a product out the door. He/she is responsible for the quality of the work the software team delivers as well as for the proper software lifecycle management within the SCRUM methodology. Need to be particularly good in building relationships with Product Managers and SCRUM Masters to reach a level of communication and alignment that will help the team deliver 2-week sprints without any major obstacles.
Delivering the B2B Solution for Resellers, Vendors:
Delivery Manager is responsible for delivering B2B solutions across ERP (SAP, Mainframe), Integrations (EDI, EAI, B2B), API, Microservices, API portal, API Gateway, Automation QA by utilizing existing engineering teams. Building the self-serve portal to enable resellers, vendors to onboard, integrate with Ingram Micro’s B2B ecosystems. Developing connectors to Resellers/Vendor’s catalog systems, purchasing systems, quoting systems to enable faster go to market strategy.
The ideal candidate should be strong and own the API orchestration, development, API analytics, API gateway, etc., and promoting an API-first approach at Ingram Micro. Directing team to deliver digital eCommerce solutions.
Defining Strategy & Vision of Solution Architecture:
The Manager will review and acquire an in-depth understanding of the current application landscape and technical architecture, the issues, opportunities, and value to the business. The architect will develop the future state Enterprise Architecture framework and Application Framework, based on the product requirements as well as industry best practices and other considerations. This will include documentation of principles, policies, and standards, and governance process. The Manager will support the various application teams in identifying the best solution approaches to achieve the final state of the product.
Relationship management:
Within a program, enterprise globally, among executives, customers and staff; as well as externally with vendors and business partners as required. Ability to communicate with program teams effectively to understand the product requirements and business context as well as explain the best design solution and concepts to get buy-in. Influence decision-makers from different backgrounds on the value of the solution design, standardization, and other architectural decisions, and drive compliance with established standards across the program. Develops innovative approaches and ideas. Demonstrated experience in creating and working with the complex technical architecture and multiple technologies.

Think outside the box to come up with innovative/creative solutions. Evaluate a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions; adjusts actions and decisions for focus on critical strategic issues (e.g., customers, quality, competition, etc.). Superior communication skills both written and oral. The ability to motivate, influence, and drive to results in a highly matrixed environment is essential. Display performance and establish credibility with key decision-makers. Complex problem resolution under stress and ability to merge diverse technology into a cohesive, integrated architecture and influencing key technology stakeholders.
