What you’ll do

Reporting to the Demand & Inventory Planning Manager, we are currently looking to recruit a talented Demand and Inventory Planner  to join our Consumer Team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to work closely with internal teams and external vendors to drive the demand and inventory planning process for a set group of products within our business,  This role will also see the successful candidate working closely with the business managers to develop the strategic planning initiatives for the company.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining forecasting models, incorporating business and market intelligence gathered from internal and external sources
• Reviewing historical trends and market/customer demand drivers to increase forecast accuracy and evaluate results
• Working closely with the Product Managers to ensure demand & inventory plans are aligned to business plans
• Optimising inventory KPIs with focus on aged stock reduction by translating demand forecast into accurate purchasing plans
• Analyse metrics to identify supply risks and constraints and develop action plans
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the demand & inventory planning process

What you’ll bring

• Previous demand planning and forecasting experience (min 3 years), ideally within consumer goods industry
• Experience working in a high SKU environment supplying to major retailers
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build collaborative working relationships
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
• Advanced level of Excel and experience with planning tools such as JDA or similar
