What you’ll do

As the Technical Consultant your role is to supply advice, highly technical solutions and quotations to customers and key strategic partners for all products distributed by Ingram Micro with particular focus on our enterprise advanced solutions brands. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure technically accurate and suitable solutions are provided with efficiency so all quotes are delivered in agreed timeframes whilst constantly working to maximize sales revenue and margin.

  • Provide accurate quotes by utilizing team quote tools and vendor pricing.
  • Manage your time to ensure all queries are responded to or answered in a timely manner meeting all SLA targets.
  • Provide accurate and technical advice. This includes providing solutions, and up / cross selling where total solutions can be provided
  • Deal Registration

What you’ll bring

Having worked in a similar role within Distribution and extensive customer interactions is a must. We would expect that you are a seasoned professional the skills below to be successful.

  • IT industry, previous experience customer service and technical solution building or presales work.
  • IT knowledge, industry knowledge, leadership skills, server storage and/or networking and security technologies (3-5 years)
  • Previous quoting, sales support or distribution industry experience (highly regarded)
  • Professional telephone manner, communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • A keen eye for detail ensuring accuracy
  • Proven excellence in customer service
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and ownership
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to set goals and monitor progress
  • Professionalism and commitment to drive Ingram Micro’s strategy
  • Excellent people skills, self-motivated, ability to work unsupervised
