Position Summary: Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Accounts for all materials and supplies; audits goods received into warehouse. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space. Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment. What you bring to the role: Supervises support level employees. Sets day-to-day operational objectives for the team. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports and stakeholders. Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to moderate level of control and review. Supervises support level associates (clerks, production associates, technicians) in an organization characterized by high transactions or processes. Sets day-to-day operational objectives for the team to ensure task completion. Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures and ensure that employees operate within these guidelines. Can make exceptions to some but not all processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Point person to resolve issues elevated by support personnel. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. Four year college degree not required but strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 3 years specific experience and 1 year of leadership experience. *This is not a complete listing of the job duties. Responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks and duties.  Leads a team of associates within a department or process area of the Operations Center.   Administers daily work functions to ensure the achievement of daily business goals.  Directs and prioritizes workflow and maintains manpower to meet order volume and capacity requirements.  Ensures individual and team production goals are met, maintains reports, and provides analysis of performance.  Ensures frequent communication with team by conducting daily huddles. Maintains reports and completes assigned projects in a timely manner. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for daily work assignments of all regular and temporary labor to meet or exceed customer SLA’s while minimizing labor costs
  • Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and quality
  • Supervise fulltime/temporary Production Line associates
  • Set up and operate equipment according to the Production Work Order Requirements, On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and/or operation procedures
  • Train and coach employees on department work instructions, processes, procedures and policies
  • Coach and mentor team leads on leadership skills such as communication, results, accountability, etc.
  • Manages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Monitors and reports weekly production metrics on productivity and quality
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to ensure performance targets are consistently met
  • Interfaces with planning and quality management when defects or non-conforming products are found
  • Determines best methods to handle deviations from standardized processes
  • Provides leadership and guidance to all staff for continual improvement of key functions and activities to improve efficiency and meet increasing customer and business demands
  • Ensures labor is balanced across department as required to meet each day’s business needs, minimize overtime and reduce labor costs
  • Maintains a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors and their departmental personnel at all times
  • Responsible for managing the administrative tasks of validating Kronos punches and correcting missed punches (daily), executing the Corrective Action Responses and implementing corrective changes to meet the required timelines outlined in the process document and executing the Quarterly/Annual Employee Performance Appraisal processes meeting the HR timeline as published

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum 3+ years in a fast paced, high volume production environment preferred

MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), interpersonal & conflict resolution skills, basic math skills
