Ingram Micro is seeking a motivated and talented Database Intern to join our 10-week PAID Summer Internship Program! We are looking for ambitious college and university students who are ready to expand their skills and apply them to meaningful work with a global organization.

You are self-directed with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

Essential responsibilities of your role: 

  • Learn and provide Database Administration support the department to which assigned.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the department as needed.
  • Perform special projects as assigned or approved by the assigned department management staff.  
  • Interact with team members to audit servers for adherence to licensing policies.
  • Update system and process documentation to reflect current state

·       Assist with daily monitoring and error investigation and triage


Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities you need to have: 

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program
  • Strong academic record with a cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Proficient at intermediate level in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience with Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with Unix or Linux operating system
  • Basic understanding of SQL and PL/SQL Programming and Oracle 11g or 12c Skills
  • Basic understanding of T-SQL Programming and SQL Server 2014 or SQL Server 2016 skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to act as a team player with a customer focus attitude.
  • Well organized, self-starter who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunity.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and maturity
