About You

You have a passion for technology and leading at the cutting edge of Cloud computing - providing transformative thought-leadership to organizations, whilst establishing a best-in-class Solution Architecture function.

You are a high-energy person with a very strong work ethic and excellent team-building skills.  You have a great ability to engage leadership and the team cross-functionally. You will set the Global benchmark for what it means to be a Solution Architect at CloudBlue. You’ll inspire SAs around the world to deliver best-in-class solutions, influence & thought-lead their customers, and infectiously encourage a passionate work ethic to deliver beyond expectations.

You’re proactive and have high attention to detail. You have an astute business mind, backed by technical expertise and depth. You are clear and communicative with a focus on establishing best practices.  You’re great at public speaking with strong customer presentation skills and technical acumen. Given that you will need to be the expert in our products, knowledge, and experience of the cloud industry will be necessary.

What you’ll do

  • Set the Global benchmark for what it means to be a top-performing Solution Architect at CloudBlue
  • Establish and chair a Global Solution Architecture counsel
  • Define the global Solution Architecture internal and external Training Curriculum & Certification (TOGAF)
  • Define the global standard for Solution Architecture Development Plans
  • Establish and maintain a master documentation centre (SDD, BRD, Pre-work, SA to PM/SAD/TAM handover doc), and be responsible for the quality of the output of these
  • Establish & encourage Cross-region Solution Architecture collaboration
  • Define and throught lead the evolution of the Solution Architecture Role at CloudBlue
  • Define and evolve Solution Architecture Programs which support customer acquisition and growth
  • Define and evolve Solution Architecture Processes (g. accelerated SoW estimates)
  • Define and evolve SA Incentive Plans

Primary Skills

  • Have the executive gravitas to be a leader, often seen internally and externally as the 2IC to the Global Head of Sales
  • Engage regularly with Director and C-Suite level customers
  • Oversee the adoption and implementation of CloudBlue platforms for customers
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to help customers ensure they are making the most value-based choices
  • Analyze customer business objectives and partner with the Solution Architecture teams to help shape the right solution to meet their needs
  • Work closely with new customers to onboard them
  • Be a voice of the customer, champion, and advocate for customer requirements with our Product and Engineering teams
  • Contribute educational content and blog posts to help customers derive more business value from the CloudBlue platform
  • Provide a next-level customer experience for everyone you deal with
  • Travel as needed to ensure the success of critical customers

Strong candidates will have these qualifications

  • Leadership through inspiration
  • Cloud industry knowledge 
  • Experienced communicating with & guiding senior decision makers
  • Skilled at building relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Persistent, tenacious, and able to deal with people when they are happy or not
  • A great communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts
  • An engineering degree with an MBA in a related field is preferred
  • 8 +years of sales engineering building technical solutions for customers preferably with IaaS technology
  • 8+ years of technical expertise with cloud-based platforms, apps, customization, and dev. tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • A BS technical degree or equivalent, advanced technical degree highly desirable.
