This position has the possibility of being performed remotely (applicant doesn’t need to be onsite in Irvine, CA). You may be required to travel and work outside normal business hours at times to satisfy different time zones and offshore teams.


Your role:

The Ingram Digital Strategy team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to be an integral part of the design team that supports initiatives for our digital customer experience. We are looking for an innovative design thinker who is self-sufficient, thrives in ambiguity, has experience in quickly grasping requirements, work in collaboration for a team of designers and can drive results across business product and technical teams.

The position involves regular communication with senior leadership across business, digital strategy, and technology, therefore, executive presentation skills are essential for this opportunity.

The Senior UX Designer will contribute to efforts in user research, product design, and user experience that transforms the Ingram Micro global digital properties. You will work to ensure that user-facing products are both highly effective and world-class in design.

The ideal candidate will practice the discipline of user experience and design system to enable itself and similar lateral organizations achieve standards in design based on industry leaders.

Ultimately you are going to be key contributor to the digital strategy, providing the factual basis for future customer experiences and its development.

The ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:

  • A passion for delivering user centered design and a knack for balancing user need with technical requirements.
  • Experience working in a product focused high-performance design team.
  • Maintain customer archetypes and user personas to ensure the stakeholders understand the needs of our customers.
  • Rally the product and design teams around a shared design thinking methodology and culture
  • Collaborate with product management, business, engineering and other stakeholders to develop industry-standard products.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Evolve Ingram’s visual design language, extending it to include interaction patterns.
  • Outstanding communication skills. Comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely.

What you bring to the role:


  • BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction, related technical field or equivalent combination of skills, experience and education.
  • Minimum 5+ years of design experience with 2+ years designing for eCommerce site.
  • BA/BS degree in HCI, UX, or Design related field or equivalent work experience.
  • A design portfolio that showcases your ability to ship successful products that people love.
  • Expert working with Figma, Sketch, InVision and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience working with engineers, product managers, and user researchers to drive and execute.
  • Experience working in the B2B and ecommerce space a plus.
  • Experience in building / maintaining design systems and A/B testing a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technology and complex workflows.
  • Outstanding communication skills; written, verbal and visual.
