Ingram Micro is seeking a motivated and talented IoT R&D Engineer Intern to join our 10-week PAID Summer Internship Program! We are looking for ambitious college and university students who are ready to expand their skills and apply them to meaningful work with a global organization.

Essential responsibilities of your role: 


  • Assist in developing code for IoT (Internet of Things) sensors to capture data and build out a dashboard based on Azure IoT central or ThinkBoard based cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with IoT Solution design team to develop project-specific implementation strategies. Act as an ongoing project consultant to ensure success.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain code for IoT sensors and Gateways.
  • Assist in the development of server-side sensor data capture and recording.
  • Develop and maintain the server-side reporting mechanisms to help visualize data from sensors.
  • Test and validate the Sensors and Gateways from various vendors.

Knowledge, skills, and/or abilities you need to have:

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university program, or recently graduated (within the last semester or quarter) from an accredited college/university program
  • Strong academic record with a cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Enrollment in a computer science or engineering degree program is required.
    • Proficiency in .net C# and Python programming language required.
    • Good to have a working knowledge of Raspberry Pi or Arduino development boards.
    • Experience with data transmission standards such as Bluetooth, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa and LoRaWAN preferred.
    • Experience with Azure cloud, Azure IoT central, ThinkBoard other cloud-hosted platforms preferred.
    • Local candidates preferred.
