Position Summary: The Indirect Tax Manager will report to Executive Director of Domestic Taxes and works closely with the Senior Manager of Indirect Tax.  This position will have great cross-functional opportunities to partner with teams that span various business lines and entities to gain a deep understanding of Ingram’s overall business landscape.  The Indirect Tax manager will oversee day-to-day activities of the function which includes various types of US state and local taxes such as Sales/Use, Property, Business License, Gross Receipts, B&O, IRS Excise, eWaste Fees, etc. 


  • Prepare monthly Sales/Use Tax accruals and analyze, evaluate, summarize, and document general ledger account activity and balances
  • Prepare Sales/Use Tax, Gross Receipts Tax, Property Tax, Business Licenses filings using various ERP transactional reporting and SAP general ledger information for multiple entities, for all state and local jurisdictions
  • Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to prepare technical reports on how they impact the organization's operations
  • Prepare correspondences with external tax agencies and consultants (for example, auditors). May be involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions
  • Maintain tax filing calendar
  • Maintain Products/Services taxability matrices
  • Prepare response to notices from taxing authorities
  • Manage Sales/Use Tax audits through resolution and appeals
  • Prepare and maintain sales tax reserves, annual budgets
  • Effectively liaison with AP, BU staff, IT, Accounting, Legal, etc.
  • Serve as technical resource for Sales/Use Tax inquires

Four-year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 7 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.
