About the Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced junior-mid Inhouse Legal Counsel  whose main purpose will be to execute the workflow of legal affairs within the company focusing on the companies commercial contracts. It is the Legal Counsel’s responsibility to ensure the organisation’s operations are conducted within the limits prescribed by law and that its rights are fully protected through the provision of legal counsel and guidance.

 

Additional key responsibilities for this position will be but not limited to;

  • Review and advise upon commercial contracts and other commercial arrangements to safeguard the organisation’s interests.
  • Advise the organisation on its rights and obligations pursuant to relevant acts.
  • Ensure all trade marks, patents and industrial processes are protected and kept in good standing
  • Propose and impose standard Ingram Micro contract templates
  • Render support to the RHQ in the area of vendor contracts, sales agreement and other ad hoc projects, upon request.
  • Completing RHQ and Worldwide reporting on a regular basis under the supervision and direction of the Legal Director.

 

To be successful within this role you will have experience;

  • Formal education and degree in Law plus 2-3 years minimum practical experience in legal functions
  • Negotiation and writing skills (able to simplify complex legal issues and present them effectively)
  • Well spoken and written English languages skills offering a "Can Do" Attitude
  • Excellent PC skills, especially Word and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills, financial and commercial acumen
  • Good team player, ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
