We are seeking a highly experienced and professional General Manager – Vendor Sales to join our business.

This is a critical senior role, and we are looking for someone that wants to make a difference in the business.

What you’ll do

As the General Manager, Sales you will be responsible for establishing the direction and delivery of the sales strategy for Advanced Solutions organization to deliver the financial metrics and sales targets set out by the organization. They will also be responsible for managing and directing the National Sales team of Business Development Managers to ensure the promotion of the Ingram Micro brand and reputation. Delivery and development of the value-added services available to our resellers. 

  • Managing, developing and growing their regional customers
  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership, global and wider Ingram Micro’s management team to ensure SLAs, sales metrics and key priorities are set and being achieved.
  • Development and management of strategic rebate agreements based on account requirements
  • Understand & analyse market conditions and recommend actions for development of new business
  • Analyse sales statistics and results and recommend strategic & tactical plans for improvement
  • Resolve escalated customer issues
  • Extensive reporting and continuous improvement in Go to market plans and initiatives
  • Provide input into sales forecasts and recommend short and long–term sales goals to achieve business objectives
  • People management and team leadership at a Senior level with matrix reporting lines

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role you will have outstanding sales experience, ideally gained within the ICT industry within either distribution, vendor or reseller organisations.

  • 10-15 years relevant sales leadership experience ideally gained within the ICT industry within either distribution, vendor or reseller organisations
  • At least 10 years people management experience, ideally gained in a mix between local and remote management within the sales field. You will be a strong people leader, have excellent relationship management skills and a flair to create and grow business.
  • Previous project management experience and responding successfully to tenders and RFP’s.
  • Deep understanding of business metrics and financial levers both internal and externally for customers.
  • Exceptional ability to build strong relationships across the business at all levels.
  • Exceptional history of sales success with proven deliverables and outcomes.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with highly developed pipeline and forecasting skills
  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce or Accounting
  • Intermediate skills utilising MS Office
  • Strong knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce, Dynamics etc
