Ingram Micro is seeking a full-time H&S Compliance Manager to help advance and manage Ingram Micro's Health and Safety Program at our 500 Sq. Foot Advanced Logistics Centre, based in Mississauga. In addition to our 2 other facilities in the Mississauga Peel Region + BC location.
This role will have up to 3 direct reports (and growing), leadership and people management experience is a must. Motivates and coach the individual team member to meet and exceed personal as well as operational targets.
The incumbent will come with a minimum of 5 years of experience Health and Safety experience in a warehouse or distribution capacity and operate independently while maintaining strong relationships within Ingram's matrix operations. Partners with operation leaders while fostering open channels of communication to ensure systems, processes, and tools are operating properly and efficiently.
You must be an advocate for Health and Safety.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to: Facilitate large multi-level groups and follow projects from initiation to completion.
Ability to: Collaborate to define clear instructions for consistencies and measurable performance. These include procedures work instructions and process training documentation.
Ability to: Be self-directed to some extent. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and manage time. Effective verbal and written communication.
Decision Making and Confidential Information – Ability to manage numerous projects at one time, think ahead to potential obstacles, and develop new strategies to minimize those obstacles. Ability to maintain and not inappropriately share highly confidential information
Undergraduate degree in applied science or engineering. Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational health preferred or certification in Occupational Health and Safety with CRSP designation.
5-8 years experience in a lead H&S role, (Manufacturing and Warehouse environments preferred). Experience in a leading corporate social responsibility working across company disciplines and services
Highly developed and effective communication skills, particularly in the areas of group facilitation and presentation
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and identify business-critical needs.
Ability to resolve problems through root cause methods and tools to eliminate the problem permanently.
Travel up to 25% (which may include domestic travel once the travel bans lift and it’s safe to resume).
