CloudBlue R&D (750+ associates), a business unit of Ingram Micro (32,000+ associates), and have a geo-distributed team that includes offices in the US, Canada, Spain, Russia, India, Malaysia. Currently, we are working on extending the R&D at the Barcelona location by creating a new BI/Data Science team.


Obviously, such platforms as CloudBlue cannot do without collecting, processing, and analyzing large amounts of data, because of that, CloudBlue Commerce ecosystem includes various subsystems for such purposes, providing information support for the different department such as:
  • Executives
  • Sales organization
  • Finance department
  • Marketing department
  • RnD
Those subsystems are requiring permanent development and improvement, introducing new methods and practices such as BI, ML, AI.

Who You Are

A BI/Data Science engineer is expected to have 3+ years of solid, active commercial Java/Python software development work, 1+ years on projects related to data processing (BI, ML, AI) including significant personal ownership of projects or initiatives. Written and speaking English skills sufficient for team communication.

What You Will Do

You will have an opportunity to contribute to our BI/Data subsystems:

  • Сommunicate with our Product Managers and Customers specifying requirements
  • Extend the functionality of the existing system and design and develop new ones
  • Integrate new data sources systems
  • Design REST APIs for external clients
  • Challenge and redefine existing architectural fundamentals in order to provide the next level of performance and scalability
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures, build-time and end-2-end automated tests
  • Document software functionality
  • Foresee post-deployment design challenges, performance and scale bottlenecks, launch and help customers with your features

Skills / Project Experience - required:

  • Java skills (Core, Spring, EE)
  • SQL itself & experience in working with relational DBs
  • Understanding of BI systems design patterns

Skills / Project Experience - good to have experience in:

  • MS Azure Cloud
  • MS SQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience in projects with BI, ML, AI
  • DevOps process and CI tools Jenkins, Ansible, Maven
