Your role:


The Director, Sales (Cisco) will develop and facilitate the profitable partnership and strategic oversight, along with all sales objectives for the Cisco business/product lines/channel lines on a national basis and expands market share in existing and new markets. Leads entire Cisco sales organization to include field and inside sales teams, managers and senior managers and Manila sales support team.  Develops and manages a strategic sales/business plan for consumer/internet markets to include operating budget; develops future strategies and new customer initiatives; provides oversight and direction to managers in attaining revenue goals and profit objectives; provides executive presence and complex problem resolution to both internal and external customers; participates in important/strategic negotiations with key resellers and vendors. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters including items directly impacting P&L. Expected to contribute to strategic sales plan and objectives at the company level. Serves as company representative at large initiatives and strategic business/market developments. Manages approximately $2B in revenue. Formulates and recommends plans, policies, goals and objectives for the organization's sale activities to expand market share in existing markets and capture new markets. Interacts with key customers requiring negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence business decisions and expand existing/develop new market share. Accountable for making national account assignments.


What you bring to the role:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and sales leadership experience preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in experience in account management, multi-department project management, direct sales experience, and executive management experience with previous experience interacting directly with key decision-makers of companies is required
  • Strong people management experience and leadership skills, preferably managing through direct report managers
  • Extensive technical aptitude and knowledge of Cisco distribution channels
  • Deep knowledge of complex financial data and ability to communicate cause and effect on operating income
  • Successful background implementing strategies that result in positive impact
  • Understanding of customer strategic and tactical direction
  • Expertise in face-to-face presentations including ability to communicate and sell ideas with strong negotiation skills to address large audiences, both internal and external to vendors and customers
  • Open-mindedness and cultural capacity
  • Advanced technology acumen and pre/post sales capabilities   


Candidates will stand out by exhibit the following attributes:


  • Critical understanding of Cisco product and business lifecycles; in particular past experience with the build-out of professional services related to open-source competencies; pre-sales technical level desired.
  • Extensive experience in developing programs that increase customer satisfaction, addressable market, product portfolio and revenue
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and exploit them to the benefit of the company
  • The ability to say “no” to ideas and activities that do not enable the achievement of overall strategic objectives
  • Create focus and attention on key actions to drive results

  • Creative thinking: should possess the ability to develop and create new ideas, systems, and relationships for the success of the company
  • Planning skills: should have the ability to develop specific plans and goals to help in accomplishing tasks efficiently

  • Motivating skills: able to encourage and build team spirit among staff, bringing about mutual respect and cooperation
