Our Business Development Executive is a subject matter expert (SME) The role sits within our IaaS sales team and works to support the selling and support capability of our sales teams focused on developing the Ingram Micro IaaS Partner base.

The role of Business Development Executive is a subject matter expert on the Vendor offering, their platforms and their processes.

The role is both an extension of the IaaS sales team as well as being the subject matter expert within the Ingram Micro business unit.

What will you do

Hold the role of Business Development Executive and will be a subject matter expert on the Vendor offering their platforms and their processes. The role is both an extension of the IaaS sales team as well as being the subject matter expert within the Ingram Micro business unit. You will combine exceptional channel sales expertise, deep IT industry knowledge, and strong analytical and communication skills to develop new and existing channel relationships. Further to this, you'll be responsible for defining the channel strategy in your region, identifying and developing SMBs and strategic resellers, defining joint GTM and business plans with them and executing against those.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively develop a community of reseller partners focused on your vendor across various vertical market sectors within the SMB, Enterprise, MSP and SI space.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with senior executives at their organizations.
  • Develop joint go-to-market and business plans and execute against them by reporting on progress vs plan.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Operations).
  • Manage day-to-day support and enquiries from Channel Partners. Act as the voice of partners within the organization.
  • Lead regular business reviews with partners and offer a strategic and analytical perspective on the partnership, identifying areas of improvement and growth.
  • Manage day to day support and enquiries from partners.
  • Ensure partners are trained/educated on the vendor value proposition.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Channel managers in the region to build a successful partnership to grow revenue in UK&I.
