Your responsibilities

As a highly competent Operations Excellence professional you will take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operations excellence function for the sites and the customers.

  • Project Delivery – Lead the business implementations, business Improvement projects and associated systems and process change
  • Business Improvement – Lead the lean and continuous improvement program including the development and coaching of the operations leadership team
  • Inventory Management – Lead the inventory management team, ensuring inventory integrity, locational and quantity accuracy, and master data integrity
  • Procurement Management – Manage the consumables procurement planning, purchasing, inventory control for operations
  • Reporting and Analysis – Lead and develop operational reporting and analysis (including operational metrics, allocations, 3PL billing, commercial models)
  • Maintain a safe environment and contribute to improve safety performance
  • Maintain processes and required statutory qualifications to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and local legal obligations
  • Lead and develop Health and Safety Management Systems to ISO 45001 - Occupational health and safety accreditation level
  • Act as the first point of contact for the customers relating to site operation matters and build a good relationship to develop trust and ensure strong engagement

What we are looking for in our Operations Excellence Manager

  • Strong people management and conflict resolution skills
  • Minimum 2 years in an operational leadership position in logistics/distribution
  • Relevant qualifications and/or certificates in the industry
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
  • Strategic & innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Systems Experience (SAP, JDE or similar) and Microsoft office Suite
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
