Your responsibilities

Your passion, for engagement and enablement will set you apart from everyone else, with a proven ability to engage at multiple business levels. Your key focus will be to generate sales opportunities, aligned with marketing activities that will create hype, nurturing and developing a dynamic, vibrant, and diverse partner ‘eco-system’ for IBM Cloud related solutions in the NZ marketplace.

  • Develop and grow a strong Cloud business amongst traditional IBM Software Resellers
  • Recruit, enable and activate new to IBM Cloud resellers
  • Acquire "new business growth" within Ingram Cloud Marketplace reseller accounts
  • Engage with IBM’s Security and Data & AI brand teams on targeted end-user clients
  • Build credible and profitable relationships across all key contacts and stakeholders
  • Create and implement a business plan to shape Ingram Micro's presence in the Cloud market
  • Collaborate with our IBM Product Marketing Manager to develop and implement a marketing plan to drive and promote the IBM Hybrid Cloud message
  • Enable and empower channel partners to help maximise sales and market presence
  • Build pipeline coverage to achieve revenue, margin and rebate objectives
  • Leverage and promote IBM’s family of Cloud Pak offerings
  • Leverage and promote IBM’s family of SaaS offerings
  • Leverage and promote IBM’s extensive range of Public Cloud offerings (IaaS and PaaS)

What we are looking for in our Business Development Manager (One IBM)

  • Proven experience in a Sales focused role for either Enterprise Software, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, Managed Services or Cloud based solutions
  • Ability to sell "Complex Solutions" comprising IBM Software, SaaS license offerings, Public Cloud subscriptions, IBM Cloud Paks, or Data & AI infused solutions
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and passion for opening new engagements
  • A highly motivated hunter who’s ready to ‘kick down doors’ in pursuit of success
  • A strong natural influencer who engages with stakeholders at all levels, to build and maintain credible, high-quality relationships
  • A person with established and strong relationships in the IT channel community
  • Superior interpersonal skills, creativity, and vision
  • The ability to work autonomously and plan strategically
  • Sound judgment and ability to take the initiative
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to conduct moderately complex formula calculations
