Late Shift Supervisor - Operations

You will……

As Shift Supervisor you will be joining a mature Operational Management team with an established Lean culture, working with the Operations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are processed and departed to agreed service levels, you will be expected to complete strong operational planning, control, and monitoring of your team members performance whilst championing a continuous improvement LEAN culture throughout the DC, you will ensure all departmental processes are kept up to date and a solid training plan is in place in order to get all associates to the required level of competency, most importantly you will work to create a safe and secure environment across all areas of the DC in line with current health & safety guidelines and 5S culture.

  • Planning and Execution of daily/weekly/monthly business within service levels 
  • Drive departmental productivity in line with site targets
  • Feedback to team on performance in regular 1-2-1’s with Progression & Improvement plans in place
  • Champion KAIZEN principles
  • Attend meetings when invited contribute – be relevant
  • Ensure Health & Safety and Security rules are adhered to all times
  • Support and cover Operations Manager as required

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have…

  • Experience in leading medium size teams of up to 25 associates in a fast-paced operation
  • Ability to think on feet and remain calm under pressure situations 
  • Proven track record of successful change management and accomplishments implementing productivity improvement and cost reduction programs
  • Proven track record of overcoming challenges to deliver results   
  • Strong bias for action, can communicate vision clearly and be a driver of change. 
  • Basic understanding of ERP / WMS / MHS systems
