Ingram Micro is seeking an Instructional Designer, Education Services focused on activating the hyper-growth of our infinite ecosystem of SaaS and IaaS solutions. You are part educator & part designer with a passion for the cloud revolution, tasked with developing our customers and employees’ technical knowledge of our products via your approach to designing education for our team members to drive the successful development, management, and support of our platform solutions. You have a strong focus on Customer Experience. You are an expert and an effective communicator who can articulate, construct, and visualize complex content, simply and elegantly.  You’ll collaborate with the Product Management, Support, and Development teams to receive inputs on their teams’ needs.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for the development, design, implementation and delivery of multi-level department training programs for internal personnel. Programs are designed to improve overall productivity and support the teams' goals and objectives.
  • Identifies program needs, obtains technical data, schedules programs and maintains training records.
  • Ensures that training programs delivered meet client needs. Evaluates training delivery and provides feedback.
  • Coaches attendees and provides skills assessment evaluations to management.
  • Utilizes most appropriate learning methods including just-in-time training, self-study, computer-based training, simulation and hands-on class exercises.
  • Monitors overall effectiveness of training programs.
What you bring to the role:

  • Recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function.
  • Manages large projects or processes.
  • Limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
  • May be the in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts in a specialized field.
  • Possess broad knowledge of professional field and other related functions.
  • Goals are provided to the incumbent in form of desired results.
  • Determines and develops approach to solve functional area related issues.
  • Possess the strongest of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience.
  • Four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.
